Weekend Where Did You Go?
Everyone out there have a good weekend? The weather was absolutely gorgeous but I didn’t get the deck stained like I was supposed to. Unfortunately I have a very long list of things that need to be done around the house and can’t seem to get them done but isn’t that always the way. Anyway, Saturday my parents were having a garage sale. See, my parents are selling their house and moving about an hour away. I’m 99% ok with them moving away because to be honest, they are 5 mins away now and I never see them (not even talking about when they live in Florida from Jan - May). I figure if they are an hour away I won’t possibly see them any less. I’m not sad about them selling the home I grew up in because its just a house and my room was changed into a guest room the day I moved out. One of the reasons we moved up here before Dylan was born was to be closer to family. As a kid I never really saw my grandparents much and I wanted things different for my kids. Thats the 1% of me thats not fine with them moving. So Saturday Terri helped them out at the garage sale for a bit while the soon-to-be owners had their home inspection. We ended up taking a bunch of stuff home with us. I feel bad but my Mom was just going to throw it out. Sunday we did some work around the house. Dylan painted a tissue box (he picked it out) to give to his teacher this week. It’s his last week at this daycare before taking a week off for vacation and then starting his new school in September. Dylan then helped me clean out the garage and try to get some organization and cleanliness to it and helped Mommy plant some bushes. I had a hockey game at 6 which I didn’t think Dylan and Mommy were coming to but came after it started. Dyaln was so cute, he brought his hockey stick with him. So its one more week of work and then fun in the sun next week. How was your weekend
