Christmas Wrap….up
Did you see that blur that just went by? Yea, that was Christmas. I say it every year at this time but it amazes me how quickly it goes by. So the wrapup goes something like this:
Christmas Eve: My brother-in-law came up and went to church with us where we met up with the rest of Terri’s family. Dylan was very well behaved in church but once it was Children’s Time and he realized he could get up from sitting next to Mommy, it was all over. Highlight of the hour was Dylan running down the aisle and Mommy sprinting down the aisle to catch him. Santa showed up at the end of church and gave Dylan a candy cane. After church we stopped at my parents to meet up with Santa on the back of the fire engine. Dylan was in aww of the fire trucks and didn’t care if Santa was there or not, considering we just saw him at church about an hour ago. Then we went home, had dinner and went to sleep, awaiting Santa’s arrival. Mommy and I got caught up watching “A Christmas Carol” before heading off to bed.
Christmas Day: Most kids are up at the crack of dawn and I am sure next year Dylan will be too but this year he got up at 8:30. We brought him downstairs to see what Santa had brought us and he stood on the landing looking at everything with a very puzzling look. Once he opened a few “cop cars” you could tell he was very into whatever this was about. The rest of the day was spent with my family at my Aunts house where we were invaded by Elmo and other various characters from Sesame Street. If that weren’t enough, the Little People army came to join the invasion so you can only imagine what my house looks like at the moment. The only nap that Dylan took all day was a quick 20 minute snooze in the car up to my Aunts so by 6:30pm he was completely exhausted and needed to sleep. After dinner we packed up what we could and headed home. I had to go back to my Aunt’s house yesterday to get the rest of the stuff.
All in all it was a very good holiday and Dylan made out very well. Plus he has more gifts coming from Terri’s family next week so I can honestly say he’s a very fortunate little boy!! The main goal, besides having to work this week, is getting the house organized and cleaned up with all the new toys.
So how was your holiday??

We had a quite dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. And then we took shifts going to the hospital!
It was nice as could be under the circumstances!
Glad you guys had a good holiday!
Of course Dylan is a lucky little boy, he has both of you for parents!
