Labor Day Weekend
Before I get to anything, I have to say this… Lloyd Carr, you should be fired. F-I-R-E-D and FIRED NOW!! You’ve embarrassed Michigan Football. This is just the icing on the cake. You are 0-3 vs Ohio State in the last 3 years and have lost 5 of the last 6 meetings. You are 0-3 in the last 3 bowl games and also lost the last 5 of 6 in that catagorey too. In the last 3 games (which would be OSU, USC and now Appalachian St) they’ve given up a combined 108 points. Dreams of a National Championship are squashed in the first week and Michigan now is now the proud owner of the “Worst Defest in College Football History”…. Wonderful.

So where has summer gone? I can’t believe its September already. I always feel that once you get to September, the remainder of the year just flys by. First off, the NFL kicks up and that season just seems to fly by. September usually just cooks right along and before you know it, it is somewhere in the middle of October and you have Halloween to think about. Once Halloween passes by, Thanksgiving is right around the corner and then BAM, you are thrusted into the holiday season. I do love this time of year, the cool temperatures during the day, followed by the cooler temps at night. There is always that last gasp of warm days late in September. I know we have plans to go Pumpkin picking with Dylan this Fall but I’m thinking maybe we should go apple picking too. I just love this time of year…
This is supposed to be a relaxing weekend but when you have 3 days that you can get a big project done, why not do it. So I have 3 cubic yards of dirt delivered to my driveway on Friday and I have spent the last 2 days shoveling it into a wheelbarrow and spreading it in the backyard. I’m trying to put down a nice base and grow some grass and get the backyard looking nice. My arms are dead and I still have to do the grass seed part of the job but thats the easy part. I just hope after all this work that the grass actually grows!!
There are lots of birthdays in my family around this time of year so this afternoon we are off to my sisters house to celebrate them and give my arms some rest!!
